Not sure how legit these are, but its about a year or 2(mabie even 3) newer hardware than whats in the Current Xbawks.

The PS4 is probably about the same story.
those are the specs for the xbox 360. They aren't a big secret.

notice the year that was posted.

OT: I would say the next gen consoles will be about what my sig rig is right now, but maybe with 6 cores.

lol oh yes. I think they will put SSDs maybe.

AMD Radeon 6 or 7xxx (no kidding, this is predictions for the future, whereas this console may be released in 2012)

Quad, maybe better, much more cache, say... 6mb L3, and maybe the same clocks.

1GB DDR4 maybe....

Super/Ultra HD (forgot what it was called).

So yea!

My thought is that they'd want to wait for APUs if they could (whether they can/will is another matter).

The GeForce 7800 GTX was new and high end when they first chose to go with it, and that's why. If they follow that trend, it will be a higher end GPU when it is first announced.

God I hope so. I don't think I'm alone when I say the XMB is outdated and it's about time that it gets replaced. That is the one thing I absolutely HATE about the PS3. It's fine on the PSP, but on the PS3 it's just irritable.

New Xbox would probably be like:
Quad Core CPU of some sort (Well, maybe even an ARM processor lol, Microsoft is supporting them now, aren't they?)
GTX 460 1 GB or AMD 6850 1 GB
2 GB RAM
Possibly Blu Ray. (I hope not, I hear it's really slow, but that may be just the PS3's drive.)
Core model HDD - 20 GB
Premium Model HDD - 350 GB
Retribution.

quad core cpu, 1.5GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 6870/5770 graphics, 500gb model and 1TB model. (DX11)

That's what they will probably do, consoles are getting lamer, they don't want to be 'ground breaking' anymore.

If they had guts they would go for something like this -

6 core CPU, 4GB Ram, 2x ATI 5870's GPU's with 2GB, 40GB SSD and 1TB HDD with DX11+ support. Would last for ages as they wouldn't max out the hardware for years and years, with 4GB ram they shouldn't be memory limited, SSD for a more complicated operating system maybe, capable of something next gen! 1TB HDD for installing games and content.

They can't be too ground breaking, it's a matter of cost. Besides whats the point of a ton of hardware if the software developers aren't behind it. Like the PS3s Cell. Nobody but the exclusive developers take advantage of the processor. So most of the cores sit there idle.

They have to make the machines affordable or no one will buy them.
