70-200 2.8 Sigma? - Page 4

Are we talking about the IS version of the 70-200 f/4 L? If so, then the Canon all the way unless you need f/2.8. The f/4 L is supposed to be one of Canon's sharpest lenses.

Kinda curious, I know this is Nikon talk, but.. Sigma 70-200 2.8 vs Canon 70-200 f/4L?
IS or non IS?

For me, I'd rather have the 70-200 f/2.8 over either of the f/4 lenses..

However the f/4 IS I would give more consideration to than the non-IS...and if i didnt own the 100-400 it might be a slightly different story..

Faster??? you mean af?? they're both 2.8.

Anyway If you can convince yourself that the Sigma IQ is better than Nikon's then you should get the Sigma. I've been completely unimpressed by most all of Sigma's lenses except for their macro lenses. For some reason they've gotten them right.

Faster as in AF.

I am still on the edge here.. dammit. It would really help my photography but I could buy a lot with 900 or so dollars...

Nope. I am going to make a decision today, they only have a few more in stock.

Because think about it. 900 could buy me a GTX 590 and go TRI SLI with my 580 and possibly throw it under water. 900 could buy me Ivy Bridge. It is a lot of money, I am always like this about spending even a dollar. -.-
