Hey these were shot with my new 55-200 VR lens.

Intentionally white washed this one and I like it, but it still looks off.

#2,3, and 4 all look out of focus to me. Any reason you were using the 55-200 VR for close-ups? The 18-55 VR focuses more closely and can get a larger reproduction ratio.

Not really out of focus for two and three, but what are you trying to focus on would be better question. If anything you should have used a higher f stop to get more of the computer in focus. Rig shots can be tricky.

The fourth one is out of focus. What was your shutter speed at that one?

#2 is focused on the front block so that's probably why it looks weird.

#4 I wanted his face in focus but his paws blurry, but it didn't come out quite right.

Also I know that the 18-55 focuses closer, I just wanted to play around with the 55-200, it seemed like I could get more into the picture, but closer in.

What settings did you use on the shots of your PC..?

They look a bit noisy, try using a lower ISO (rest the camera on something for stability to compensate for the longer exposure you'll need)

also your dog has weird eyes

Sounds like you're using auto AF points. You should switch to manually assigned points if you haven't done so already.

Honestly I wouldn't be able to tell you about the settings. Ill have to look in the photo on my camera.

Ad ill try dropping the iso. I think it was already at 100.

He's a husky mixed with a collie. Still a puppy lol.

Nope haven't done that yet. I got the For Dummies book on the camera really cheap because the store was going out of business, so hopefully that will help along with practicing.
