Also, I'm tired of cars. Cars are stupid. Our cities are badly planned to make the cars a necessity. Babyboomers are retarded for thinking that suburbs are awesome. Every 12 seconds, an urban planner kills himself because of how stupid and ugly suburbs are. Cars and roads and the way cities are design is also a proof that people don't understand basic economic principles like opportunity cost, because these things are excessively expensive, and to have that there's a bunch of more awesome stuff we can't have.
So, this fuel thing is irrelevent to me, because I exist only to live in a big arcology powered by concentrated solar power plants.
Solar has MASSIVE technological problems ranging from crappy collection efficiency to losses during storage. Plus, the raw materials for constructing the solar arrays are expensive, and the process for constructing them also expensive. Unless some revolutionary method is discovered to make solar more viable, it's almost as much of a fad energy source as biofuels.
Nuclear is where it's at. Not that it's necessarily a long-term sustainable source since fissionable fuels are also a limited resource, but it can be done on large scales for relatively cheap.
