Asus GTX580 Direct CU II review... "in development"

So... i'm doing a small review for this card...

I will do the following testing:

System specs

i7 920 @ 4.5Ghz HT On
6Gb Kingston HyperX 2000C8 @ 1720 7-7-7-21-1T
Asus GTX580 Direct CU II @ 961Mhz/4315Mhz/1922Mhz

Games benchmark:

- COD: Modern Warfare 2
- COD: Black Ops
- Street Fighter IV
- Crysis: Warhead
- Crysis 2
- DIRT 2
- NFS: Shift
- NFS: Hot Persuit
- Darksiders

Benchmarks:

- 3DMARK 2010
- Heaven 2.1

Testing will be done with HT ON and HT OFF for comparing results.

So the first numbers are coming out ... i'll keep this updated during the week but since it's a work under progress i will keep posting the results

This is just a quick sample of the benches i did today

i7 920 @ 4.5Ghz ( 1.40v ), HyperX 1720Mhz 7-7-7-21-1T

Subbed. Looking forward to this and I hope Asus comes out with the ROG Matrix they just displayed last week.

Tenno, yeah, looks great but my guess... won't be much better than this one for daily use... just for benching under some uber cooling

Yeah i'm guessing it will be just a higher factory overclock and the really cool eye candy fan controller

Anyways thanks for the review. I've been tempted to go with these 3-slot monsters

For those who want a single gpu... this rocks ... tomorrow i will continue the benchmarks testing

My guess is that the Matrix will be priced waaaayyy over the top ... like all Matrix cards...

seriously considering this. Is there any other card that would cool as well? Thinking of doing 2 of these in SLI

Ok... updated the topic with first graph comparing results in games benchmark ... i'm having some problems with the remaining games because i don't have a dvd on my bench to install them, but this afternoon i'll take care of it
