is iphone 4 worth it? - Page 3

If you've been using a Nokia N95 for four years, then you will absolutely despise the iPhone. Its biggest drawback is that it's heavily dependent on iTunes, which you will almost certainly also despise. Especially the first time it trashes your entire music collection. The second time it trashes your entire music collection, you will be reaching for your revolver...

All you did was make a troll thread.
I have an iPhone 4 on Verizon and I must say it's quite nice.
I only use it for music, texting, and the internet.

I get much better battery life than my co-workers with all the new Droids as well.
At work I listen to music for about 5 hours straight, make a call here and there and text quite a bit. When I'm on break I'm on the internet or I'm watching TV shows with my apps. Guess what? After all of that I have yet to drop below 60% battery life on an 8 hour shift.

If you like simplicity and user friendly UI go iPhone
If you want to keep up with e-mails and business go BB
If you want to tinker with your phone go Droid

My bill is the same as all the Droid users as well.

The build quality is good, better than all the Droids I came across, the Incredible was the best build quality Droid I could come across.
The glass on the iPhone is a very nice touch as well.

The only reason I chose my iPhone was because of the display.
Try as hard as you want but you won't be able to pick out a pixel.
BR movies + retina display =

If you've been with that phone for that long you might as well wait until summer until the iPhone 5.

Personally I love my iPhone 4 and would recommend it to anybody...however being in college my parents still pick up the tab for everything except the $25 data plan. Lawl... I don't know how I'd feel about paying $70+ a month, plus $300 up front.

If you have went this long without those damn "apps", then you will be just fine with your current phone or a newer basic one. I love watching people look at their phones while walking/driving/bicycle riding, etc... They look like zombies. Mindlessly walking around like they have no brain or soul. Most plans will make you get internet and those phones are worthless without it, so if you don't need apps or internet wherever you go a basic phone is fine.

what IEATFISH is suggesting is getting the iphone 4 after the iphone 5's release, because it will be much cheaper. Also, is the bolded part intentional?

itunes is the biggest down side to the iphones/ipods, otherwise I'd be quite happy to own one.

what do you mean by droid? Like all android phones? Some of those things are debatable though (such as the screen, I've put my desire next to the iphone and I think the desires screen is superior).

I still stand by going to the store and trying out all the phones you can, there are so many choices and we can't exactly tell you which one is perfect for you

I have had my hands on, but not used extensively, the iPhone 3G, Motorola Droid, an HTC Vogue or somesuch with Windows phone 6 (which really sucks), and an HTC android phone my mom used to have.
The iPhone was ok, my favorite was my mom's HTC android (again, I can't remember the name of the phone), followed by my dad's Droid. My Windows mobile 6 phone is horrible.

I'm looking to upgrade and I have considered an iPhone but in the end I think I will go with an android based phone, I just don't know which one yet.

Buy a blackberry/droid. Then buy a Zune HD for movies and music, I swear it has better quality than an iPhone or Ipod Touch

I bought an iphone 4 several months back after debating it vs an android for a long time. To put it in as few words as possible - I love it.

It's a beautiful little device with an excellent screen and respectable speed. If you can handle not having flash and the big monthly bill, its totally worth it imo. This coming from a guy who knocked apple products for YEARS. I just assumed they were good designs w/ midrange parts. I was actually so against apple products that when the time came that I finally had to buy a mac (I'm a graphic designer), I opted for the hackintosh route. Needless to say, the iphone 4 changed that opinion. Forgetting the so called "antenna issue" (which I've never even experienced), it is one of the most solid, well designed phones I've used.

That said, if you're not into jailbreaking, it may not be worth the price of admission. Also, if you're serious about an iphone I'd hold off for the 5 at this point.
