Need more Bass

Thread Starter
Oh god, another noob who knows nothing about music and just wants bass.

Ok, thats not completely me. I do like listening to nicely recorded albums and hearing the fine detail in music, but that bass test thread really disappointed me. I have a Cambridge Soundworks radio unit (copy of the Bose Wave music system) and it sounds pretty good, but it has a crappy sub. Dubstep could be so much better.

I was looking at the Corsair SP2500 for a while and almost bought it, but then I decided not to after seeing multiple people say you can get much better for the price and some comments that it feels cheap. The Klipsch ProMedia looks awesome for only $150 (I could probably find it even cheaper on sale) and has a nice 6.5" sub.

But is there anything that I can get in the $150-$250 price range that has a bigger sub that will deliver air-moving sound, but produce nice clear mid and highs at the same time?

(Edit: Meant to post this in computer audio section. Move if you want)

+1 for the ProMedia's. I've used a lot of mid-range speakers, these are by far the best. I live in a dorm room and can shake multiple rooms around me when I turn these up.
