Also D.S.L - Thats a great idea, if furry doesn't work out for heatshrink I will definitely take that paracord to the store and make sure it fits before I buy!!!
You can email him or buy from his eBay store. By emailing though, the price is cheaper. Your choice really. Here's his ebay store link.

Hmm, now I am in a dilemma. I could go with the paracord which the material in itself would be cheaper but shipping would be just as expensive as the material. Or I could give FurryLetters, his stuff is still incredibly cheap and shipping is practically free. Damn.... what to do what to do.

ARGH so many choices.

Alright I need to get some answers so I can make an informed decision, at this point price really isn't an issue since both will be well under what I planned on spending anyways. Now I might actually have money to buy the actual tools needed to get the job done lol, unless I want to go ghetto of course.

Paracord - (Thanks for that link btw, that's perfect) - Quality wise, compared to FurryLetters it looks like that they are "roughly" equal. Paracord 550 is 5/32" in diameter, according to their site.

FurryLetters - Nice black and white sleeve, but is missing the red color that I wanted? If that is in fact the case, I think I will just go with the Paracord instead.
Do you guys think that FurryLetters heatshrink would fit this?
The actual inside diameter is -- 0.177" just under 3/16"

If my math is right, it should be a perfect fit shouldn't it?

Well what you want is the total size for the heat shrink tubing. Honestly, I've never used Parachord so I don't have any knowledge but 3/16 heat shrink tubing is what's needed for 1/8th of an inch Tech Flex Clean cut which has the following dimensions:

So...that's the best I've got. However, if you just email Barry, you can find out when he's going to get some red of the dense weave in stock as well. It's just a matter of sending him an email and waiting for the response.

Cool thanks so much. Very helpful information.

Do you think it's worth to pick up the modding tools? Or should I just stick with staples and needle nose pliers?

If you want to go with modding tools it'd probably be easier. Or you could just get one of those screwdriver thinks with just the thin naillike tip from the dollar store.

Hmm, I actually have some very small tools somewhere in the house. If worse comes to worse I will just do it the ghetto way until my fingers bleed

Also here is an Update:

I went with the 550 Paracord in the colors, Black, White, Red.
I also ordered 20 feet of white heatshrink from FurryLettesrs (better too much than not enough)
Going to be hopefully if I remember taking a lot of pictures and share my frustrations with you guys.

Also have White Primochill tubing on the way along with en EK waterblock that I picked up for cheap.

Pictures will follow

I have the tools and honestly, I'd go with a paper clip method for extracting the ATX pins. The only tool that's even remotely useful is the Molex removing tool.

Did you order the 3:1 heat shrink tubing?
