Well Here i go, Ordered my First SSD, a 60GB Patriot INFERNO (hence the title) and am now in the process of installing the drive. Will keep updates posted.

I love patriot. Their RAM is awesome, and I love their Xporter thumb drive. Fastest thing I've put in a USB drive so far! Looking forward to your benchmarks.

I do love patriot as well, I also have a Patriot 16GB Xporter thumbdrive, Patriot LX 16GB SDHC card for my camera, an 2 1GB DDR400 Modules in my old P4 System.

Going well so far:

I had read reports of this drive's 3.5" adapter not working with people's tool-less drive system, but i think maybe they were doing it wrong, as mine fit just fine:


Had to remove my massive XFX 5870 and unplug the main board power to get this thing where i wanted it:


after moving a few things around, i was able to get it installed quite nicely WITHOUT having to completely redo my cable management :


now all i have to do is fire it up and reinstall everything........

Began Installing windows at approx 1:32 AM and at 1:35 it had expanded 50% of the disk to the drive. 75% now at 1:36

it expanded the entire installation disk onto the drive in less than 5 minutes

And the operating system is done installing at just over 10 minutes.
