definitely don't have the viewer open for the gpu slows it right down, get Trayit! and it will put the cpu viewer into the tray, theres a guide on the folding essential threads, this will tell you how to set it up to auto run and auto store itself in the tray meaning you don't have to see it or do anything to get it going

You've got the wrong CPU client by the way. Your one will only use one core of your CPU. If you want to use all of the CPU, follow this guide:

I actually was using the cpu 6.23 version and according to my cpu monitor was using all the cores . But i dled your preferred version and set it up accordingly
