I'm not sure how I'm suppose to go about doing this.

Hello everyone. I'm new here.

So I'm looking to overclocking my CPU. So I did as what all the guides on the internet say about overclocking. Go into the BIOS and modify the clock speed, multiplier, etc.

But when I got into my BIOS. I looked high and low for the overclock options. But I can't find any.
So I searched up on the internet again about how to oveclock without the option. Found the software way of doing it but a lot of people say its unstable and risky.

Then they mentioned updating the BIOS perhaps to a more recent version so as to have the overclock option. I can't find any updates on the internet and I'm not sure on what to search.

Here are my specs(Take not that this is not the computer I want to overclock but it has the same BIOS and CPU, only the one I do want to OC has 2.4 ghz)

Please help!

It's not new. Fairly old. Been thinking to get just a little bit of speed out of it.

Tried setfsb but can't be bothered to open up the case till tomorrow to find the pll number. Because I'm planning on OC'ing the other PC which is not with me atm.

Tried the trial and error way of doing it, but the PC locked up on me and I don't think I want to do it again.

Your best bet is to save some cash for a new pc... you can get yourself a quality computer for around $500.

I wish PeaceMaker.

I really wish.

But living in this country ain't so easy if you're into computers.

1. Amazon, Newegg, Ebay does not ship electronics to here so great cheap prices is out of the question.

2. No high-end quality electronic products are sold here. Mostly made in China.

3. Local computer stores here take the amazon price and multiplies it by 3. When cleary the exchange rate is only B$ 1 = $0.785 USD

A quality computer for $500? More like $1400.

Sorry dude, where are you from? Fill in all your specs in your "User CP" at the top. You'll see "Add/Edit System" on the left panel after that. some refinements you can do, get windows 7, it will speed up your system... try to save for an ssd, this will breath some life into your pc... possibly a ram upgrade.
