Single or Dual Mod top? for MCP655

Thread Starter
I'm ordering 2 new pump MCP655 and would like the mod top with it. I'm looking at Bitspower D5 Extreme Pump Mod Top V2 and Bitspower Dual D5 Mod Top Extreme.

So, which one should I get? Should I get 1 Dual mod top or 2 single mod top? What are the benefit for them?

Thanks.

The 2 top is designed for a pair of 655's pushing together. Will only work when using two pumps. Adds head pressure and flow rate over single pump. Not needed in 95% of loops.

Single is more realistic. Increases head slightly over stock as well as flow using a single pump.

Edit: Why would you need a pair of 655's? My loop is going to be worse than yours, and a single 655 turned down still pushes no problem. Just added a block to my 6970 plus some angles with no major drop in flow.

wow. you're saying dual mod top is a waste? I've seen a lot people using the dual mod top one. Hmmm.. I was thinking about dual mod top too. I may think again...

This is OCN, excess is sexy. That being said, do you have the extra $100 to blow? If so go dual pump. Personally I would spend the cash on say a block for your cards, sleeving or maybe even a second rad for your 800d

Understand also, that some set it up this way for redundancy, in case a pump fails.
