Need a ADSL2+ AND Cable Router

Thread Starter
I have always been looking for a affordable rotuer which i could use on a ADSL2+ line AND a Cable modem if i decide to change.

So i finnaly found the
Netgear DGND3700
http://netgear.com/home/products/wir.../DGND3700.aspx

Which is exactly what i need but sadly its not out. Coming Soon

However i been looking on youtube to see the router reviews.
There are a few bad reviews already, i don't know where or who they boght it but they have it.

Anyway

I was wondering if there are any other routers out there which are as user friendly as Netgear and aimed at domestic consumers which have these features.

I don't understand why you are looking for a dsl/cable router when you still need a standard DSL modem from your phone company and those have an ethernet port built in to plug into ANY standard router. So whether you are using DSL, Cable. or Fiber you could use the same router for any of them. Seems like the only advantage of the router you have posted is that it is has a built in DSL modem but that is the only difference.

That Modem/Router you're looking at is only a DSL Modem + Router. It's does not handle Cable by itself (still needs a DOCSIS Modem).

You're better off just buying whatever Modem you need: DSL, Fiber, or Cable, and going with a good Router behind it.

no reason to use modem+router all in one unit let alone one that does both dsl and cable as well. Your much better off using modem's supplied by the isp and buying a standalone router.
