It's most likely a quality control issue to be completely honest.

I mean, take the Zowie ec series mice for example. It uses a pretty old and well known sensor (Avago 3060), but one or two members on this site received mice that produced vertical jitter, while others worked fine and don't have those issues. Granted, this mouse only ships with a default firmware that cant be flashed, the only other explanation is poor QC.

If anything, you should RMA the 3.5G if you're still under warranty (2 years from purchase date).

I see, could well be the problem. I will try the BE when it arrives and post in this thread how it is. I doubt I can RMA it now, I've moved into student halls, don't have any proof of receipt nor original packaging frown.gif

Thanks anyways Skylit, and everyone else who posted

I just buy bougth a Logitech G9x and DeathAdder 3500 to replace my ''old'' original Logitech G5, and to see which one I would prefer.

The G9X was sooo bad for me! I was all cramped after 5 minutes. And there is a problem between the new P67 mobo and Logitech G serie in some config (confirmed by both Logitech and Asus tech to me), so it was freezing every 30 seconds. Really bad experience. Bad mouse for my hand.

But I can't believe how good the DeathAdder is compared to the G9x! Wow! Perfect for my kind of hand and playstyle.

I also bought a G19 and BlackWidow Ultimate also to try at the same time. The BWU is soooo much better.

So I returned both the G9x and G19 the next day. For less money then the G19 alone, I feel I have a better set-up with the BWU and DA.

I sound like a fanboy, but I'm with Logitech since over 10 years, and just made the switch. I had the original G15 v1 and the G15 v2, and 3 G5 orignal at home. But this time around, Razer are better products for me. smile.gif

Why would you want to downgrade?

I used the 1800DPI Deathadder and 3500DPI one (I'm using it) And I didn't feel any difference at all. (Using 2.44 firmware and 3.02 driver, 500Hz/1800DPI)

I think the main issue people have with the respawn is the lift off distance......however I never have to life my mouse anyways so that point is mute tongue.gif

My BE DA should be arriving today, so I will update later after I have tried it for a bit.

Whilst waiting over the weekend, I tried my Respawn again but with 2.41 firmware. I can honestly say it felt much, much better - not sure whether this is because I downgraded the firmware or because I'm using a new QcK pad, but it felt so much better.

Annoyed now that I bought the BE, but I still think it's an upgrade due to the new sides, will see how it is anyway and possibly return it because the Respawn feels much better now.

Seen lots of people on here and other forums complain about the Respawn feeling jittery and inaccurate - if so I strongly recommend using firmware 2.41, thanks for suggesting that!

Deathadder 3.5 works perfectly on my qck+, update the firmware. Take the casing apart and sand the sides with 2000 grit sandpaper if you lift your mouse alot. Double layer the mouse feet if the bottom drags on your mouse pad.

the 3.5g sensor works very well with qck+. this wasn't always the case, it took a few firmware upgrades to get to this point

Use a mousefix to disable acceleration maybe thats what's messing you up. Acceleration feels extremely awkward for me but I've had it disabled for 5 years or so. Some people can make it work, don't get me wrong
