out H70 in NH-D14

Thread Starter
Hi all, I have wrapped the H70 in moth balls, not happy with performance, and purchase a Noctua NH-d14 with standard fans, which brings me to this, must the fans exhaust or intake air? I have lost one ram slot, Hyper-x is damm high, too bad that will go into the same junk pile as the H70, and purchase low profile Dominators.

Although the H70 performs right under the D14, perhaps you should consider retweaking your overclock some more? If you arent happy with H70 performance then chances are that you won't be happy with the D14.

As for the airflow, top intake and back exhaust works best, on both my 700D and my friend's HAF X

You can't expect better temps with the D14 if you're not even happy with your H70.

Position your cooler so that it intakes cool air from your back case fan and exhausts it out the right side.

H70 never will give your CPU a better temp performance for REAL! You know why? the Thick radiator H70 has a damn small tube like 1/4 or less, and the weak pump.
