Whoa, bit of a mix up there.

At 50,000 points you can sign up for an OCN postbit here:
http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...here-read.html

Once you complete 10 SMP WUs (SMP only, so GPU WUs don't count), you automatically qualify for bonuses.

Nope, i'm just a 'tard.

Thanks for clearing it up Zed.

Thread Starter
Thanks for the input. I suppose my next step is learning how to overclock this processor.

We actually have a thread for these stories somewhere... I believe that some people, including myself, enjoy finding more and more reasons to fold.
I'm happy to share my motivation if you direct me to the right place.

Nice. That's what I'm talking about.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. I don't really broadcast it here on OCN but I have multiple sclerosis. One of the medications I take for memory loss is Namenda, which is primarily an Alzheimer's medicine. So I know some of what he had to go through. It is not fun at all getting in your car and driving for 20 minutes, just to have to drive back home because not only did you forget where you were going, but you also forgot your cell phone so you can't call anyone to even ask.

It will probably come too late to help me in any way as I already have irreversible damage to my brain and spinal cord, but I see little kids at my neurologist and it helps to think about how far medicine has come in the last 20 years and that they might get a chance to lead a normal happy life thanks in part to protein folding research.
