temp question: b55 - Page 2

Thread Starter
okay... My nb-vid was already at 1.3V but I upped it to 1.4V and now I have 2.6ghz stable (prime95). TMPIN1= 33C/57C with my cpu @1.5V running 3.9ghz. 2.8ghz wasn't stable.

I haven't touch HT. It is still at 2000.

Numbers look alright? TMPIN1 seems to be about 8C lower than core temps so I think 57C should be alright for 24/7.

Nice!

Thanks for the support guys!

I must tell you that I was able to get higher overclocks on less voltage stable when overclocking through the FSB as well as multiplier, on both the CPU and the CPU-NB.

It's worth trying mate, really made a difference for me.

willibj-

I know... I should try and see if I can push things a bit further using fsb and multi combined. I would love to hit 4.0ghz!

Cheers

Remember, every chip is different, some can do high overclocks without even touching the cpu-nb...an excellent example is the intel i7 920 D0 chip...i've seen guys do crazy overclocks with low voltages...does not matter how fast you get it, its once u are pushing it and getting all you can out of the chip.
