Can this PSU handle my setup?

My rig is as follows:

Asus Rampage formula motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 cpu
Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+ gpu
2 x 2 gb sticks of kingston DDR2 RAM
2 x Western Digital 7200 RPM 500 GB hard drives
2 x Sony DVD/RW disc drives
Asus Xonar DS PCI Audio Card

Yesterday my previous PSU (Arctic 700w) fried itself for no reason (was not running any taxing programs etc) so I'm looking to go for a more stable, relialbe PSU.

I've gone for the Corsair 500W CX http://www.ebuyer.com/product/240999
as everywhere I've read (psu calculators etc) has indicated a 450-500w psu should be fine for my setup.

It just seems a bit low, seeing as I'm replacing a 700W unit. Even though I know a 500w from a reputable brand like corsair is probably still more efficient than a lesser-known 700w make.

So thought I'd get your thoughts anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Definitely. You could probably run all of that on a quality 300w PSU if you wanted to.
