ALL IN ONE computer, OR mini computer

Thread Starter
my mom wants one of the AIO computers......Dell has one, so does HP, so does Apple......(but she dont want apple)

anyone on here have one of these HP or Dell? are they fairly reliable? she will use the hell out of it for sure.....id say she will use it for at least 9 hours a day or so. id like it to have 8gb memory, 1TB HDD, she plays tons of find and seek, and slot machine games, so itll have to have a great video card. she would like it to last 5 or so years......or better LOL

anyway which one would you guys recommend? the HP or the Dell brands?

ive never had one before which is why i ask.......

OR possibly a very small very powerful mini computer build too.

$1200 will get you a decent high end system. You can build a AMD system for a lot less. I build my brother an AMD x4 965 system for $600 a few month back.

If she wants a good all-in-one system then look at the Dell system. last I checked they came with some pretty good specs like a Intel Core2Quad and I think a Radeon 5xxx series graphics card. Plus that model was like $800-$1000 so see if she will give ya the extra money for some upgrades

Build a micro system
Build from this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131659

its amd
so go with budget on the AM3 base
there are some good deals with combo packs to
just search around for a micro ITX design its worth it
plus this board has wireless so no need for cable line (but if she games or watches alot of vids online then go with cable line)

Ram: not to great picking ram but you get a usb flash drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104173

(people help him with this one)

Also beware if you plan on overclocking this you need to get a different heatsink for the cpu
dont got for high heatsink ram get very low profile ram

Cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103727

Cpu heatsink
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835181013
(going with this one cuz it works and wont have to worry about heatsink height also cools great)

it does have onboard graphics but not sure weather she will be gaming or anything that requires a better vid card

IF you can find a 4250 Ati card
you can crossfire them the board comes with a 4250radeon

or you can go with one of these depending on the case you are going with
