Possible AHCI driver issue?

Alright so my question is this. I installed windows 7 with everything set to AHCI so the the msahci drivers would install. I think decided to install the AMD AHCI drivers. I went to the device manager and changed the controllers to AMD AHCI. But my question is does this look normal?

Also, should I install the drivers before windows 7 install or should I do it after the windows 7 install. I've heard people say to do it both ways.

Everything seems fine. I'm not sure what you mean by install the drivers before installing Windows 7 but enabling AHCI prior to installing Windows 7 is recommended because you can get bluescreen once you enable it otherwise and you will have to boot into safe mode to install the drivers if I remember correctly.

That being said, if you enabled AHCI and everything is fine there is nothing left to do.

Alrighty thank you for clearing that up. When I meant install drivers before installing Windows 7, I meant at the hard drive select screen there's a Driver button. But the way I did it was set everything to AHCI in the BIOS and then installed Windows 7 to install MSAHCI drivers. Then after that I installed the AMD drivers. I just wasn't sure if that Device Manager looked odd because of the 2 different controller driver names.

I guess I was most worried I would need to re-install windows AGAIN for a fourth time. The AHCI drivers had me nervous. And I used Registry Mechanics deep scan and it made my Logitec drivers not work, so that also made me nervous. But I think everything is good to run till something breaks!
