[BD]Crysis 2 to have multiplayer anti-cheating support not featured in demo - Page 2

It's not just a Nordic Hardware site translated;

Here is an article on Hexus about the game running on a laptop that says the same thing, and does not quote that source.

Quote:
The eagerly-anticipated game will ship with an underlying DX9 API on March 25, with the DX11 patch coming a while later, and it'll run just fine on a quality laptop.

And here is Nathan Camarillo, executive producer at Crytek, saying this very elaborate thing:

Quote:
Crysis 2 will support DirectX 11 but we'll talk more about that in the future. There's an announcement coming soon about that.
It is this simple: either it supports it at launch or it doesn't.

But they instead played with words. At this time the discs are being printed to be on sale at retail. The game has a finished version that hit RTM and THAT version does not have DX11 enabled.

If it did support it right now, they would only do well to publicize it and profit from the pre-sales. This only means one thing:

This is the kind of answer you get from a politician who still doesn't know if they can make it happen on time or only after release, but always through a downloadable patch, even if it is ready by launch time. The version in the printed disc only has DX9 enabled.

One more thing adding to the evidence that the discs are finalized and being printed, with the possibility of additional features being available at launch or "later" is this comment about the lack of graphical options:

Quote:
So the question is, will these more limited options be present in the final version of the game?

"We'll look at whether that's a possibility," said Nathan Camarillo, executive producer at Crytek. Right now Crytek is monitoring fan feedback and will determine later what might be able to change.

How exactly do people cheat at Crysis 2? It's the first game I've ever played on multiplayer and I can't tell if the people I play are cheating or if I just really suck at it.

On a side note, can people kick you off servers? I was on the highest point on the skyline map and I saw a guy cloak himself and jump. I half heartedly fired my scar in his general direction and by complete dumb luck I got a headshot. I think it was my only kill that entire round and the next thing I knew I was booted off the server. Did someone do this or did my connection just fail?

Even if there is a lack of dx11 support. IDC. and you know why? cause my gpu would cry so hard it would implode. and then I get to sue crytek and take all the money they made off the console kiddies.

I think we should complain about the game after it is released.

Last I remember DX10 effects could be enabled in XP in orginal Crysis using a couple cvar and console commands. Makes me wonder if all this DX stuff is gimmicky BS.
