Heat rises so rear and top should exhaust out.

This is my thermal plan. Im still waiting for my second 140mm roof fan though.

I also have a 120mm fan as intake for the GPU and PSU just to be clear.

Heat rises with the absence of other external forces. In a case, there is very LITTLE effect of heat rising up especially because there are other sources of air flow.

The amount of heat that is generated will cause a negligible difference in air pressure that is more than negated by even the weakest fan. Think about it do you feel a breeze from a space heater? If you placed a small tissue over a toaster does the air make the tissue move at all?

The issue with that is that the fresh air coming through the optical bays may be sucked out by the 140 mm fan before it reaches your heatsink.

Yup I did think about that. But when I get my other 140mm fan I'll do a few tests. I was going to get a third party CPU cooler which will need the 120mm fan. But the extra 140mm was to help suck air from the bottom 140mm fan up and out the case.

The top one of the last two setups except have the rear fan as an exhaust. Too much air in the case can increase temperatures.

But then the only coming into the case is heated by the GPU or the HDDs. But I guess having that spot as intake serves no purpose.

Remember that 140mm fan on the floor. It'll bring up good levels of air for the top of the case.
