I agree.

I downclocked my Q6600 to 1.2Ghz the other day.

Guess what!

Crysis 2 Demo.. 5 FPS AVG less. No joke!

But you know what that means, don't ya?

Games are becoming less and less CPU demanding because CPUs sucks.

You shouldn't make statements about things you obviously know nothing about.
But its a fact, when benchmarking cpu's alone AMD can't compare with Intels. And this has nothing to do with gaming just the processors themselves

Amd in my opinion is the Gamers CPU.
Intel in my opinion is the Enthusiasts CPU.

Chances are in game you wont see very much difference between the two, but when you start breaking out video encoding, photoshop, benchmarks ect ect thats were the better architecture comes out in the lead.

If your just gonna game, just go AMD, then you can put your extra cash into a nice SSD or better gfx card. Neither are bad..just good at their own things.

Yeah, it's the same price, performs the same in Multi-threaded apps, and worse in single-threaded apps (i.e. Crysis).

Great deal!

amd = wannabe gamers.
Not exactly, AMD people are not wannabe gamers, we just tend to not have the money for the prices at which Intel places their CPU's. The reason I chose a 1090t, Is because I need all 6 cores for encoding for my school and my job, and I didn't have the money to buy something greater. The reason that we can't afford Intel does not mean we are "wannabe gamers", it simply means we don't have the money. Period
Considering I bought this computer out of the money I saved for 3 years to start a business to help my parents avoid foreclosure. I find this very offensive

Yeah, I suppose. If ALL you will EVER do with the computer is give it to a teenager who doesn't know anything besides Call of Duty and Facebook..

Then AMD it away.
