[Bioware SN] Criticizing EA can cost you your games. - Page 9

I love how a lot of the people posting are quite ignorant in there statements about EULAs and EA in general, but I guess that is to be expected. I actually never even heard about this happening before. Being unable to play a game you purchased due to a forum post is just ridiculous, it's no wonder EA gets a lot of flak from gamers but there sales wont take a hit at all most likely as linkin93 showed.

You aren't explaining your opinion and you have avoided many questions. If you cannot play your game because of a stupid forum comment, then a refund of the license and a return of the physical media is due. EA needs to refund him his money and give him a prepaid box so he can return the game.

Oh hey look, customers getting treated like dirt! Haven't seen much of this lately.

The jerk in me hopes this situation explodes in EA's face and someone loses their job. Happy Friday!

Seriously, this should be litigation worthy.
Except if people keep pushing this issue, game companies will just declare you never own any game ever. You're just paying us for a license to use said game as we see fit.

Either way the end-user loses.

Wow, EA once again being a bunch of tools, seriously this is massively bad business practices. So glad I do not buy EA games.

We're just sick of getting our rights trampled by these companies. We don't need one of our own (a customer) to support them doing that as well.
If he said something a little more constructive, I would be siding with the guy.

You act like he's been banned forever.. It's a whole three days!

And I only avoided the one post because the guy wasn't even worth responding to. Both questions were ridiculous.

Again, you don't know the whole story. The guy could very well be a repeat offender/cheater/etc. He could be lying through his teeth about why he was banned.

I think you should wait to see what EA says before making them out to be the bad guy. They very well could be, but again, it's the internet and this guy could be saying anything.

Wait... EA is not the devil, then?

Even so, you should not be banned from games YOU purchased.
