[Professional] Twelveswood Work Station Project - Page 23

now my only thought is...how much would you charge to build this and flatpack it with schematics to assemble it(this would be for the whole desk without the hardware but included fans and the mainboard tray)

Love the work a mate is doing one in a desk but nothing like the effort put in yours (brilliant)

Thread Starter
Thanks peeps.
I never expected this build log to run out 23 pages+. I'm quite surprised.

On the previous page there is some talk of skill vs tools.
I consider myself a decent woodworker but there are a ton of pros out there
that would make my work look like an apprentice's.

I'm in the camp that says it's not the tools but the know how that makes the difference.
The know how comes from doing.
The fancy tools just make things easier and faster to accomplish.

If you look back at the first page of the log you'll see I chose to use basic tools for this project.
Seriously,if you are familiar with those tools and can make a square cut(and I mean square) this
project should be doable.

Um,I don't do IKEA,lol.
To do what you ask would require a redesign.
Several people have asked me to build one for them, but I'm not set up for mass production which makes the cost and time
prohibitive for a custom one off.

This kind of thing would be great if I were retired with alot of time.......2 years to go!

I wandered across this thread the end of last year sometime and it took me a while to find it again when I went looking for it again. This has got to be the most awesome project I've ever seen, I was thinking of buying a case labs case next but mow I'm thinking I want to step up to the plate and do something along this line biggrin.gif

Two Thumbs WAY WAY WAY UP thumb.gifthumb.gif

+ REP

I'd really Love to do something along these lines but since I'm not a woodworker I'm going to either need to start with some pre-built pieces and mod them or I'm going to need to ask some of my woodworking friends to give me a hand. Question is how much pizza would this type of project cost me for them to help me? biggrin.gif

Hiya Captzee,

Very nice desk bigeyedsmiley.png am very impressed by it!!

Was wondering you talked about having a Pdf with the plans in it ? is there a way to get a copy of it? i am thinking of copying it since it would really fit the corner of my game room.

I noticed this post a few months ago and have been playing around a bit, I had a few ideas myself about making a desk but it doesnt seem to pan out mad.gif like i want too and this is pretty much how i would like it.

I know its not original as a idea but i like it very very much and want to make a replica of it.

Great work am amazed by the results!

Greetz! Pepey
