Also, it's loud enough that I can hear it from a few rooms away even with a window open. Is this normal for a pump or do I have a lemon?
Is your pump plugged in to the CPU fan header or directly into the PSU?

Thanks! I've been looking at pumps lately, so this is a big help.

I don't have experience with any other pumps to compare with, but my swiftech 355 with xspc dual bay res top has always made strange noises. Since I took my loop apart months ago, I decided to play around with the pump and make a demo. I have the pump connected directly to the psu with a molex connector, and I have a single tube connecting inlet to outlet for the purpose of the demo. The noises coming from the pump in this demo sound just like the pump did when it was installed in my old loop (2 radiators, 1 cpu block, pump w/ bay res). Hopefully someone can shed some light on this?

Well I loosened a few screws on the pump top (not much - a half turn or so) and now it's making pretty consistent noise. Still loud and hot like all 355s tho. Problem solved.
