Sapphire 5970 BSOD

Thread Starter
hi ya all,

i'm really frustrated to the point of taking the card out of the system and getting a hammer and resolve my anger.

well here it goes.

1. i reinstall windows 7 x64 = failed to make it work

2. i uninstall ccc and ran driver sweeper in safe mode to clean all ati files= didnt work

3. i went into regristry files and disable all ENABLEUPLS by setting it to 0= didnt work.

I'm not understanding the problem here or just dont get it.

I watch youtube videos in hd is fine. i run diablo3 home page and play the vidoes and is fine. BUT, when i load the home page of guildwars 2 and play the video, it BSOD on me. i haven't try any games so far on the system.

Please any help, suggestions will be greatly appericated.

Lastly, is my call a defect?

Give us the BSOD code you can read.
It starts with 0x000...

Perhaps it's not GPU related.

When you BSOD you get the blue screen
On it you should read a lot of information and more especially a line with a code beginning by 0x000.

Now in order to be convienient you must disable Blue Screen Of Death Auto-Reboot by doing this

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

This has nothing to do with the BSOD ou encounter.

Also everyone should have Windows Genuine for the weekly update and the peace of mind.

That's in the TCP/IP stack, so it is network related. See if you can locate a different driver for you NIC somehow.

Also, doing this comand from command prompt(as admin) can see if all files on your system are correct, not corrupt:

sfc /scannnow

Okai now we're talking.

So your BSOD code is d1.

That is a driver issue.
Try to look if all your drivers are up to date.

www.tousldesdrivers.com will give you an overview of your drivers.

I would bet this would be your Atheros TCP/IP network manager which is causing the issue
