URGENT : CrossHair IV and CPU question

So i got a new motherboard as i thought mine had died, installed it and everything and i got the same problem as before BUT i think i have hit a break through - the CrossHair IV has these LED lights that turn red in case of a problem now on mine the CPU light is red which indicates that the WHOLE time of me having trouble and replacing both the RAM and the Motherboard that it was infact the CPU at fault - who knows maybe it took the Motherboard with it i dont know so my questions :

Does the LED lights turn ALL indicators on if there are more then one problem or would it do the most serious first? i mean does it go through the whole setup and say hey all these dont work correctly and need fixing or will it do 1 at a time?

as for the CPU i will be getting a new one and i am considering getting one of the X6 processors, when they first came out you had to update the motherboard BIOS yourself, for obvious reasons but will i have to do that to a new board or will it already have the updated BIOS?

If there's no CPU present you can't exactly calculate if other components have problems..

POST tests go through one by one, if one fails in a chain then the system halts.

The CrossHair IV Formula will not need a BIOS flash to support the X6 processors... at least not the version currently being sold on Newegg. Check the version number of your motherboard against the specs on the ASUS site and it will tell you what processors are compatible with the BIOS listed.

One of the things I would check before you go out and buy yourself a new processor is that your system is receiving enough power. Are you sure that you have all power connectors hooked up to your motherboard correctly? I spent a month troubleshooting parts just like you to find out that my power supply simply had a dying rail that was preventing proper booting. Just a thought... good luck with everything.

Yeah everything powers up, all fans go around and everything but i just get no post, i have tried it without the Video card and such but still the same problem so that all i had were the RAM, DVD drive and the 2 hard drives connected and still the same thing

i think the board as an error LED for power so i dont think its that, i get the error for the CPU when its in (obviously) so i am thinking that has some how gone and thats why i cant even get into BIOS or anything
