Edit BIOS for higher voltage(?) - Page 2

Helping out OP here in case people think 1.375v is the upper limit for the Athlon II 620. According to AMD's specsheet, it should go to 1.425v: http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=597&f1=AMD+Athlon%E2%84%A2+II+X4&f2=&f3=&f4=512&f5=AM3&f6=C2&f7=45nm+SOI&f8=&f9=4000&f10=False&f11=False&f12=True

OP, are you talking about seeing 1.375 in BIOS or CPU-Z? Just checking.

I flashed the bios with the SLIC version, but nothing really happened.

Which part of the bios am i supposed to edit, to be able to push the voltage higher than 1.375v?

How can i edit the BIOS, disabling the failsafe mode for the CPU voltage?
Setting is:
"Max Voltage: By CPU"

I tried using AMIBCP, but it always crashes before opening the ROM file.

I managed to open the ROM file, with the AMIBCP v3.37, and changed the tables in the "Processor Voltage","Access/Use" to "Extended User".

Does anyone know, what that change would do to the MBoard? Like disable failsafe, or something?

I've got like 8 Swiftech VRM coolers on most of the mosfets, so should be fine.

But changing the tables to "Extended User" didn't do anything, Processor Voltage was still limited to the amount specified by the CPU, 1.375v.

How can i remove the failsafe mode for the Processor Voltage?

As it can be seen in the pic, CPU voltage is limited to 1.375v, and the max limit is determined by the CPU: "Max: By CPU"

Any way to override it, so it can go higher than 1.375v?

No, you can't do that. If you want to go higher, get another motherboard.
