This is a thread containing a poll, and I thought I'd state my opinion on the board and why it isn't overrated.

No reason for you to be offensive about it.

I see a lot of mention of ppl wanting to go with the sabertooth lately.

Whyy would someone theoretically choose the sabertooth over the p8p67 pro or other boards for that matter? Besides the obvious differences in appearance.

Excuse me but I had no intentions to be rude. My previous statement was a question and not intended to be a rude/sarcastic remark.

I would say no. The quality of ASUS has always meant they can charge a slight premium over their competitors. And the features they use also warrant a little bit more of a price hike.
Personally Im eyeing the P67 Sabertooth.

I avoid MSI Motherboards like the plague. They were good a few years ago but not any more.
They look good but for the same price ASUS or Gigabyte usually has something better. More features, Higher Quality, More PCIe lanes (or better speed), etc.
The best caps in the world are worthless when they are on a badly Designed PCB.

MSI Video cards on the other hand are amazingly good.
I understand but I feel it's definitely up to the buyer to see what they need. For me I see no need for the extra features in the P8P67 Pro and thought I would save some money by going with the Extreme4

It's "Military grade" that could be a factor I guess. It also has many different features but still different people have different needs.

Thanks guys...but it seems like the plastic heat cover thing could be obtrusive when try to hook up coolers and such. Wouldn't you want the air to circulate to cool off the board instead of covering it?

Just thoughts I had they probably are completely wrong lol

It's not in the way of anything. ASUS recommends a blow-down style cpu cooler to help keep components cool. If you're not using such a cpu cooler, they recommend installing an optional 50MM fan to assit in keeping the components cool.

I'm going to buy a 50MM fan today to see if it helps. If not, I'll return the fan.

Thank you for the link...I had not seen it I read the review and comparisons at the top of this section. Thank you guys that clears up all the questions I had about the sabertooth. I now can consider this for my build if the asrocks don't show up soon. I really like the sabertooth uefi a lot.

+Rep to everybody
