Crashing in BC2

Hey guys,

Has anyone had crashing issues with BC2 lately?...im not sure if its an update they have applied or something or windows updating...but this past 4 or 5 rounds of BC2 online has crashed my pc and the sound is just looping,I have to hard reset the computer.

Ive gone back to all stock clocks on my system so that rules out an unstable overclock causing it somehow.

But its still crashing,Never had this problem before and clueless where to begin.

System specs-

Check that your giving your GPU the correct voltage, this was causing crashing for me last night.

Thanks for replying,

Ive not touched the Gpu voltage, not even overclocked it....all i done was use the "Shader unlock" bios on my 6950...should i have adjusted the voltage for just unlocking the extra shaders?

My whole system has been acting wierd though lately, even two cores have gone missing from Realtemp for some odd reason, even though windows task manager is showing 4 (I have HT off).

again appreciate the help because im lost now.

I'm on the same boat! I have been playing BC2 fine till last week. Now it keeps freezing up just like you described after 30-40 min of playing. I have to hit reset on my PC. Plays fine on other games. I have reinstalled the game and reinstalled the drivers...Still freezing on BC2!...?? Been going crazy trying to figure it out! About to go RMA but dont want to if its not the card. I did have it unlocked shaders and 860/1300 but have restored it to original bios and clocks. Still doing it. Please post if you do find the solution!!
Has there been an update on BC2 in the past week?

I've been having the same issue. Never had problems before and the only thing that is different is i've uped my drivers to 11.2 and went to a crossfire config.

I've had frequent crashes in BC2 MP, until recently. Disabled all On Screen Display and it worked fine. So I tested it again. Enabled OSD available in Afterburner with both GPUs usage % and temps and it kept crashing/freezing. Disabled it again and it works fine! So I assume this is some sort of anti-cheat feature of BC2? (It never happened to me on SP) Fraps' OSD work fine though.
