I'm also having problems like 2 or 3 ppl on that website are having... Nice going Midway, its obvious a common problem. I tried googling to solve problem but it seems no one has a solution on fixing it. Hoping I have better luck on overclock. Can't play this pc game when I can hear the audio of the characters and many other sound effects I can't hear.

Solved, seems like the people who made this game didn't do a good job setting this game up. Meaning you have to manually set up your audio device to it.

http://forums.midway.com/tech_issues...0/29983365/p1/

Open Run(start>all programs>accessories>run) type in RegEdit hit OK. In there hit HK_LOCAL_MACHINE. Then SOFTWARE. Scroll down and click Surreal, then Riot Engine. Delete SettingsDX105. Once you do that, run The Suffering again and the box that pops up when you first run it that asks you to config will come up. Reconfig your video however you had it. Then under the audio tab, uncheck the box next to Use 3D Sound Buffers. That's what worked for me.

If that doesn't work you can do it again and try configging it in other ways. Hope this helped.
