Xigmatek Balder or Corsair A70?

Thread Starter
Was looking to get a new cooler and was considering both of these. Both look nice and of course everyone hears about Xigmatek. But I can't find much information on the Corsair but it looks like a pretty nice HSF - and it includes 2 fans with it.

Worth it to jump on the Corsair or stick to the proven Balder?

I would go with the a70 because it comes with 2 fans and also is known to be a very good cooler for the price.

How about get a Prolimatech Megahalem Rev B or a Thermalright Venomous X.

Thanks! I actually haven't heard much of the A70 before. The Balder - who hasn't.

The balder is amazing for the price. 65C load @ 4GHZ with my old i5-750 and it responds VERY well if youre in a cold room!

Both looks like good coolers. But can't find a direct comparison anywhere (as reviews from different websites don't really give such a good idea on how they fare against each other).

The thing that worries me about the A70 is just the size of it. Especially with the bigger fan shrouds too. But if it's actually a better performer, I would buy it.

4.4 GHz on my 2500K, 59 degrees on IBT 20 passes on high. A70
