is my fps too low for what I have?

Thread Starter
My computer is a few months old but this is the first time I have been running DX10/11 games.

The framerates I get for these games on max settings @ 1920 x 1080 resolution are. . .

Crysis: 17-20 fps
Bad Company 2: 25-35 fps

used FRAPS

specs:

Diamond HD 5770
i5 760 Lynnfield @ 2.8 Gz
4 Gb Ram
Gigabyte P55A UD3

are my framerates standard for what I have? I've yet to find benchmarks for the 5770 that aren't above the high setting or very high w/ max AA and AF

That seems way too low. Maybe try bump up your i5 to 3ghz and report back the frame rates. Try overclocking your GPU too. See what that does and report back.

Sounds about right tbh if your maxing their settings out (AA, AAA, AF etc) and your system isn't OC'd.
Update all your relevent drivers (GPU, Chipset etc). Seeing as both these games are FPS's their more demanding on a system, require much more frequent screen refreshing.
