stick with 4870 or go for GTX 260?

Thread Starter
hi guys, im currently using a Palit Radeon 4870 1gb dual sonic edition.
a friend of mine offered a swap with his inno3d GTX260 FreezerX2 (55nm)
i've checked some benchies and also reviews (theyre like up and down, its so hard to decide), i know these cards are old but they still give out enough or at least a bit more than enough power...
but im getting this itch to migrate to NVidia because of a lot of games are optimized for nvidia...
just wondering and collecting thoughts and opinions if its good to stick with my 4870 or go for the GTX 260...since its a straight swap. im getting restless on deciding.

You won't even notice a difference between the 2.

I say scratch that itch.

I've had them all, 192/216 260, 512/1gb 4870.
Other than installing a different driver package I couldn't tell you which card was installed.

Good luck. Make sure you report your opinion on the swap, post the fact.

^^ this...listen to this man

i have had them all

even though the 216sp gtx260 is the faster and better card, i say keep the hd4879 simply because its not a worth while update, save up for a gtx460/470/560

but as long as ur swap dont cost you its all goods
