Scythe GT D1225C12BBAP-31 5400 RPM info needed

Thread Starter
I want to convert this fan to 3 pin only. Currently it has 4-Pin Molex with 3pin RPM wire.

Any DIY instructions for it? smile.gif

Thanks in advance.

You just need to remove the molex pins on the 12v and ground wires, crimp some new pins on, and pop them into the 3-pin header. As FrozenCPU states, be careful what you plug it into, though. tongue.gif

Which color are the 12v and the ground wires on the fan?

Can I Take the out the 3 wires from their Molex and PWM controller wire and then connect it to a 3 pin header?

Take out the molex connector > Take out the 3 pin connector > Take the 3 empty wires and put it in the 3 pin connector to convert it to a normal 3 pin fan.

Will it work?

I need to connect it to the sunbeam rheosmart 6 fan controller.
