BFBC2, 5850, 11.2, hard crash after 20 minutes of gameplay

Recently (this week) I've encountered hard crashes in BFBC2.
For the past few weeks, BFBC2 would randomly crash to the desktop after ~40 minutes of gameplay.
Now, after ~20 minutes of gameplay, it hard crashes and I have no choice but to force shut off or hit the hard reset button.

BEFORE,
The game screen would freeze but the sound will continue playing for roughly 10 seconds. Then it just crashes to the desktop. No errors, it just closes.

NOW,
After 20 minutes of gameplay (after 3 trial tests, it's been between 19 and 22 minutes) the game will freeze and the sound will loop with a 0.1 second time frame. This will continue indefinitely (I would assume) because everything becomes unresponsive and I have no choice but to hard reset.
I've also noticed that as of late, the card has been giving me a lot of freezing and crash issues. When I was watching YouTube videos my browser crashes and I got an error which stated my graphics card was performing improperly.
Also at random times all my three screens would show a beige colored vertical line array, at which point I'm forced to hard reset.

What I've tried and what I know does not resolve the problem:
-Make sure GPU is not overheating. Temps did not exceed 77c under load. Also tried turning up fan speed to 100% during gameplay--no effect.
-Install previous drivers. Tried 11.1a and 10.12, both yielding the same results. Note that this problem only began occuring in 11.2 (not that it has to do with the problem)
-Returning the card to stock clocks and volts.

What I haven't tried (and probably do not want to try):
-Reseat the card into a different PCIe slot. Because it's been in this slot for months with no problems until now.
-Open up the card to inspect its insides.
-Different GPU loading applications to see if it will crash at the same time.

Do I have a dying GPU? Pushing too many volts into it maybe? Inadequate VRM cooling? (I can't see VRM temps after all, non-reference design limitation)

Is it time to RMA with XFX?

I get youtube crashes with my 5870 sometimes, I just have to restart youtube. BFBC2 crashing is a different story, are you running the game in DX11?? I remember a lot of people had issues with crashing in BFBC2 awhile ago. I don't think your GPU is dying, but if it is, XFX is excellent with RMAs! Anyhow, what were your results when you returned to stock settings?

Restarting YouTube did bring it back, but that is a workaround, not a solution.

I am running it at DX11. But I don't think that's relevant.

When I returned it to stock settings, the same thing happened. Hard crash after 20 minutes.

I've been having the same problems with Youtube crashing my AMD drivers, it seems to be flash in general that's causing it. I was watching a video on youtube and I had another page open with one of the BF3 slideshow's and after starting up the slideshow flash crashed and my AMD drivers crashed.

I find that if I only have 1 flash application open at a time I'm fine, if I open more than one then the AMD drivers crash. I can't really help you with the BC2 crashes though, I haven't experienced any of those so far.

Any solutions..?

If your using steam version, try and do a scan of the game file.

Goto your games in steam.
Right click the game
Goto properties
Select the "Local Files Tab"
Then "Verify Intergrity of Game Cache"

I have found that sometimes my game files will get corrupted and will cause irritating problems. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'm having the same issue.

I've narrowed down my issue to PunkBuster. My game freezes ever since their updated BFBC2 release on Wednesday.

Try playing on a non-PunkBuster server and see if you get freeze-less gameplay. If so, try a "ranked" PunkBuster server, and see if it crashes. If it IS PunkBuster, there is good news! The world is FULL of beer and whiskey to make you forget that there are no good solutions!

I really was getting really pissed so I did complete Reinstalled of window 7 everything else, so far i haven't had any crash for 1 hour now. its definitely not hardware issue probably has do with graphic driver or sound card driver or punkbuster who know :

btw I loaded up 11.4 amd driver instead of 11.4 on my fresh window 7 install.

EDIT update: well game still crash after 1 hour i though it would fix the problem by fresh install no luck

Unstable CPU overclock? BC2 would freeze my pc on me before. I tried stock settings on my GPU and all kinds of stuff. It was my CPU overclock needing a bump in voltage. I had it prime95 stable, or so I thought. Usually if it's an issue with punkbuster you will just keep getting kicked out of the servers.
