• Manually updated PunkBuster
• Launched BC2 and played for about an hour and a half. No crash!

I really miss Afterburner and want it back ASAP. I hope this thing gets figured out.
I don't even have Afterburner installed and I still have this issue.

Make sure you dont have ANY kind of monitoring programs running. I was crashing every 15 min. The fix for me was turning off AB. Now i can play for hours. I tried turning on GPU-Z so i can monitor temps to log but 10 min into the game, I froze up...so now i just use CCC and OC to 840/1325 and run fan on manual @50% for gaming. No crashes! Hope they fix this soon!!

I'm gonna be sooo mad if turning off AB solves this problem!
I've tried everything! Reinstalled windows, used almost a whole day combined to figure this out!

EDIT: FUUUUUUUUU!

Wow, I'm so glad I wasn't the only one with this problem! I usually have monitoring software open, or AB. I've also been stress testing every part of my PC for the last week to try and figure out what it was, to no avail.

I'll try this tomorrow.

Actually, it is probably a Pb issue with people with single monitors but for the OP you are having the same problems as i am. Its an Eyefinity issue, BFBC2 doesnt like eyefinity at all and a known issue to Dice, appearntly they were looking for a way to fix it but with #3 coming out i dont think its something they will hold up to. If you play in a single screen you will get 0 crashes. At least i dont.

I would look up that Forum for you where dice commented on it but i am not allowed on that website from a government computer.

I also have been told by other OCN members that i have been reaching my Vram limit on my card at the eyefinity resolution, i dont know this to be true or not but it is something to think about. But seeing as i remember DICE commenting about eyefinity players and crashes to desktops, im gonna go with that one.

I play on triple monitors. I had crashing issues with BC2 in both single and triple monitor setups. Turned off MSI AB and zero issues...

It's running your game in dx11. Go into the settings file, change to dx version 10, you will never crash to desktop again.

It will crash again if you are using MSI AB. Doesnt matter if its dx9,10 or 11.
