nVidia TV Out Issues

Thread Starter
Ok so i have a HTPC/Emulation Gaming PC, system specs are:

Intel Atom 330
nVidia 8400GS PCI 512MB
Creative Sound Blaster Sourround 5.1 Pro
1GB RAM
Blu-Ray Reader
2TB HDD

So my TV out used to work just fine with the current TV it is connected with s-video, but now all of a sudden when i use any resolution above 640x480 the picture is massively zoomed making it unusable, when the resolution is set to 640x480 the picture is fine and fully viewable. But anythign else is zoomed. I have tried switching to compoment cables which worked, but then some resolutions would display nothing.

I have absoultly no idea why it all of a sudden is displaying picture in a such a strange manor, i have also tried adjusting the image with the zoom buttons in nvidia control panel which do absolutly ntohing.

At this current time i am running forware 267.24 Beta, but i also expireneced this issue on the latest stable forceware release and also 260.99.

I have also doubled echeck aspect and zoom settings on the TV itself which are all set correctly.

Any help would be great thanks.

Go back to the last drivers that worked.

Newer drivers don't always mean better drivers (especially on older cards).

My HTPC has a 8600GT in it and I am on 19x.xx drivers on it (playing into my 32" CRT TV) with no plans to update them.

i went back to the older drivers but still expirenced the same issue, but figured out that it only occured when xbmc played a movie, and it was only because i had the option to enable xbmc to playback movie files at there original refresh rate, once i turned this option off it all seemed to be working again.
