i7 930 OC help

Thread Starter
Hey All,

Was just after a heads up if my temp were OK for my setup,

Have been playing a bit , but cant seem to go any higher with OC without maxing out temps,
Was using AISuite but after using REALTEMP the Temps are around 8 degress Higher, So i guess AIsuite are wrong?

My specs are :
I7 930
Asus P6X58D-E Mobo
Zalman CNPS9900 cpu cooler
3 X 2GB Gskills ripjaws CL9 9-9-9-27
Nvidia GTX295
1x 120mm front fan intake + 90mm side intake
1X 120mm rear outake
System temp in around 40 degrees

I am happy with 3.5ghz atm and dont have the need to go to 4ghz,
Just like to know i am safe with those temps??

Yeah that seems about right with that cooler and those temps are fine watch out for 80C and above
post #3 of 6
ditch the cooler and ditch the x22 multi and you'll get further.. i'm thinking 4GHz @ 1.2.

to answer your question though, temps are fine and to give you a comparison, those are a bit higher than my peak temps at 4GHz @ 1.211, so might want to get a different heatsink.

good luck

EDIT: post your details in your sig rig

Just so you know realtemp is a sucky program it constantly displays higher temps than most others, try everest or something else.

Ohh and get one of these over a H70 anyday http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=16619

Good luck on that voltage on a newer d0 getting to 4.0 GHz. Mine BSODs quickly with P95 at 4.0 GHz at 1.25 vcore. It's a shame that newer d0s are actually worse on voltage than older ones.
