PhysX: GTX 460 Solo or GTX 460 + 8600 GT.

Hi.

I wonder if anyone got details about which wuold perform the best cus I've heard that dedicating a card to PhysX can make it worse if your main card is strong enough.

So in PhysX games, which would give me the best results?

GTX 460 768mb Solo

or

GTX 460 768mb + 8600 GT (PhysX dedicated) ?

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks in advance.

Forget the 8800GT and buy another GTX 460. They're cheap and would provide better PhysX performance.

Dont use the 8600GT as Physx. Too slow. Only 32 shaders.

That would be a big performance boost. Forget the bottleneck, 8000 series card in physx is the best! then just nail that 460 with one beastly overclock. Then enjoy some batman: aa and some mafia 2

I have a friend that wants to get rid of his 8600 GT and I thought If I cuold get it for like 10$ and I would benefit from it I'd take that card.

So it will yield me worse performance than my main card solo?

Just stick with the 460 itself. Hardly any games use Physx anyway so you should be fine. + the 8600 GT isn't enough for Physx. I'd save that money and try to go for the 1GB 460 if i were you.
