You're probably only using the normal client. Try using the SMP client. Even still kinda low seeing as how my Athlon X2 64 6000+ 3.1 GHz was getting 300 with normal and only using 1 core or less IIRC

Not trying to tell a sob story here but, last time I participated, and when power bill came, parents got angry, and blamed all of it on me... :s
I tryed leaving on PC with folding but then parents saw and just turned it off and told me off

Anyway, congratz everyone that got a prize. Others too, all I can say is keep up the good work.

Wait, you folded for 2 days and the power bill went up so high that your parents blamed you?

Go to services in taskmanager and stop the fahcore service to stop the program. Also if you have more issues take to another thread so others will see you need help

What Chris said...There is no way your power bill could have gone up any more than a few dollars from 2 days of folding on your machine. Just calculate it out and show your parents how much money your rig actually cost to run during that time. I'm sure they'll be surprised by how little it actually was.

Since you finished setting it up for your first time in less than 5 mins and its only doing 20% usage, I can assure you its not set up right.

Reread the guide slowly and see what you skipped.

lets say your rig drinks 500 watts constantly while folding (just a guess not sure about accuracy)

500 watts at 80% that is 625 actual watts since your power supply isnt spot on... at 10c a killowatt hour (just a guess) thats 15kw/hr's a day (24hours) 15*10cents is 1 dollar and 50cents for 24 hours of folding on a rig that consumes 500 watts with 80 % power supply that 45 dollars a month so it will add up over time...

this may be too much depending on your financial situation and guessing your power bill is sent by the month there is no way of telling how much juice you used in the past 48 hours...
