I would consider myself to have relatively good eyes so reading anything on the screen isn't any trouble, I find that if the text were probably any smaller it would start to become difficult to read however at the current resolution I feel as though it's perfect and that nothing is a strain to read.

Very very well built high quality monitor.

Not only did you spend quite a bit for this monitor now but you will continue to do so with every new monitor you get. You will never ever be able to go back to 1080p. I can't even stand to look at my 2333BW sammy for more than a few seconds, looks sooo bad compared to the Dell.

Sooo worth it though

I have to admit I just ordered the U2711... However as I am in Australia it is for some reason $250 cheaper than the rest of the world :/ But more to the point I am looking forward to it greatly!! I have always loved and wanted an extreme-hi-res monitor. They just look so nice and its brilliant to work on. I have found this going through each monitor I have had. I could never take a step back! I just know that the U2711 is going to ruin my laptop for me
