What other programs are others using to OC there GPUs.

I use Afterburner, but the thing is, I've been using MSI Afterburner ever sine Bad Company 2 was released.

Plus, it doesn't kick me for hacking, it just freezes up my whole PC... confused.gif

Looks like MANY MANY people are having this same issue ever since PB was updated on Wednesday (March 9th) this week.

So yeah, good job PB and EA for screwing the game again one more time.

I'm done with this, uninstalling it.

I hate to see all of you having this problem. frown.gif

Everything on my rig is updated to the latest version (including PunkBuster). I just tried everything I could think of to get BFBC2 to crash. The only thing that succeeded was to clock my card insanely high (then my system froze).

Has anyone with an NVIDIA GPU had this problem? It seems like it's confined to AMD.

Could having SP1 installed or not have an impact?

Has anyone looked in the Event Viewer for Critical Error Events that occur at the same time of the crash?

Well, as everyone has been mentioning, it seems to be ultimately related to PunkBuster. If that's the case, I hope Even Balance gets its act together and fixes it soon.

Yes, it is pb problem, didn't you read whole tread?
Game works flawlesly on singleplayer or multiplayer on servers without punkbuster;)

I've just sent trouble ticked on even balance page (punk buster developers)
There are many people with exactly same problem, and everything started to all of them on the day when even balance released new update for punkbuster - 09.03.2011. Unfortunately, they are slow in fixing this problem, and there's no right solution to play until they fix problem in pb.

And yes, there's a lot of players with problems with nvidia gpu, they are at ea forums.

After checking my event log, the only thing I can find is Event #41 which sates " The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." and there have been a ton of these since 3/9 when punkbuster updated.
