Try again with Afterburner, I'm sure within 1 hour and half your computer will freeze again.
Would have to disagree with you. I didn't have AB installed at all on this fresh OS install and it crashed w/out the new realtek drivers. But w/ the new drivers...No problem...So far... Time will tell but I think I may have found the problem. Keepin my fingers crossed.

Try with MSI Afterburner (Including OSD Monitoring) and let me know, if it works out, I guess I'll have to try updating my drivers from ASUS' website, although I don't even use onboard sound.

kcuestag is right.

The real fix for this problem is disabling GPU utilities, earlier I stated that I don't use MSI afterburner but I do use GPU-Z to monitor my temps while in game. When I stated I had GPU-Z closed in my ealier post I was actually mistaken, it was on but now whenever I play BC2 I make sure its closed and have not crashed since.

Let's hope Punkbuster bothers to fix it soon, I am sick of using manual FAN speed, I want a custom fan profile...

I can't run the game in Administrator mode since it's via Steam, and no, I have not modified anything, it is Punkbuster's fault, nothing we can do to fix it, but wait for a Punkbuster update

I run the game w/ admin mode. FOV is at 75 and bloom is on. All PB files are set to admin mode w/ WIN XP SP3 compatibility mode.

The realtek drivers on ASUS' website are older than the ones on the RealTek site. I tried disabling the sound drivers and using the windows one and it did nothing for me.

If you do plan on reinstalling the drivers which one do you go with?

You can...Mine is through Steam as well. Your BC2 files are located here. You will find the .exe there. Should be called BFBC2Game.. C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\battlefield bad company 2
