Want to buy a nice cam - Page 2

What do you use it for? If you want a nice compact digital camera get the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7.

It takes amazin pictures and has a crazy 12x zoom. Its on sale for 199 @ amazon.com Look at some of the user submitted pics. Its a great camera. Ive had it about 6 months and no problems.

I reccommeded this the other day, you cant go wrong for a point and shoot. SLR's are great, if you take the time to learn how and use them. They can be a hassel to carry around if your doing other things beside photography.

Am also in the process of buying a good point and shoot camera. Did search alot and asked on here and now I came to a decision of buying this Nikon S9100. Priced at just $325 and having 18x optical zoom in such a small camera makes it a good camera.

To go over 18x optical zoom, then a DSLR would be the next option, but thats another story.

Optical zoom isn't everything, and with DSLRs, the zoom factor isn't even a relevant factor, and most lenses I know aren't even 5x zoom.
