Computer build suggestions?

Thread Starter
Hey,

I am currently looking to buy a computer that will last for 3 years or so.
Mostly for heavy gaming.
The build that I got so far is:

Code:
Intel Quad Core I5 2500K Quad Core 3.3GHZ 1155 6MB BOX
Scythe JAPAN YASYA 1156 + 1366 SUPPORT
Gigabyt GA- P67A-UD4 Socket 1155
Lancool Midi Tower PC-K60B Black
Seasonic 850Watt, Modular, Active PFC, 80PLUS Silver, 120mm Fan, 24 pin, 2x 12V, 4x PCIe, 11x SATA
Crucial 2GB (Single Stick DDR3-1333 CL9) x2
Sapphire ATI 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E HDMI x2
I have also been told that I am better of getting the P67 Extreme 4 instead of the P67A-UD4.
And the Hec cougar 700W psu instead of the Seasonic one.

Any ideas? suggestions?
I will be overcloking the cpu, and flashing the ati's to 6970. and overcloking them too.
I am already around 150$ over my budget, so any help would be appreciated.

I had an SSD drive in mind, and it will come along in the next few weeks/months.
But for now I need to choose what I am buying. any suggestions other than saying more ram and ssd?
And why do I need more ram anyways? 4gb is not enough?

I didn't see the x2. Is the ram in a dual channel kit?

I moved on to 2 sticks of: CRUCIAL RENDITION 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3
They come separately, if that answered the dual channel question? since I am abit clueless.
I also switched to the P67A Extreme 4, and to the HEC COUGAR 1000W CM.
Is it fine?

Damn, you dont need 1000w!! especially not that make. Get and 850w corsair tx. Or a seasonic like you had before listed.

Yes I know I do not need 1000w, but the 700w they have probably wont be enough, and they do not make 850 ones as it seems.
The problem is that I am looking to cut down the costs abit, and the 1000w costs less than the seasonic.
The 850w corsair is not modular as far as I know, and I do need a modular one.

I would definitely get a Prolimatech Megahalems or Noctua DH-14 over the Scythe Yasya, other than that everything is okay.

In addition, if you want a 100% guarantee for a 6970 BIOS flash, you could wait for the Powercolor PCS++ 6950.

To easier make a recommendation, could you link your items, and list the prices you're paying?

That way, members can link quality items at cheaper prices. Currently I don't see your PSU price Corsair make a
