Issue adjusting core voltage with MSI Afterburner

Thread Starter
Hi there. I've had issues with my GPU artifacting while under load. For example, during some portions of the Windows Experience Index test, it will artifact and I will get a message saying the display driver has failed and recovered. Occasionally it will get so bad that it will not recover and the entire PC will reboot.

In an attempt to fix this, I thought maybe I could play with the voltage settings a bit. In Afterburner I have the setting "Unlock Voltage Control" enabled and I can move the slider back and forth. However, anytime I hit apply, it will reset back to its original position. I tried a possible solution which had you manually enabling unofficial overclocking in the config file, but this didn't work. I've also heard rumors that some non-reference GPUs may not be compatible with Afterburner. In my case, I'm using a non-reference PNY 465 flashed to a 470. If this is the case, can anyone recommend a better functioning program? I tried looking for GPU voltage settings in my BIOS. I had no luck, considering that my motherboard is relatively old.

I don't think that a flashed VGA and non-reference model will work with MSI AB.
Have you tried RivaTuner? try setting your voltage there.
