Weird problem with my ASUS HD 5770

Yesterday I was playing Crysis at Very High settings at around 20-25 FPS, but today I get like 10 FPS on Very High, 20 FPS on High, and 30 on Medium.

Is there a specific reason my GPU is starting to person very badly over the course of a single day?

This is very hard to say, it might not be your GPU. Are you running more things in the background while you're playing crysis?? Have you left your computer on for an extended amount of time now? Could windows update be hogging room? Check your CPU usage as well when you run it, background programs can cause FPS dips

Actually yes, my PC has been on for about 9 days now (although it has been in Sleep most of the time). I will restart and see how that works.

Yep restart and also make sure you're not running anything that takes up a lot of ram. I'm not sure how much ram you have but you want to have plenty of room for crysis to run For example, leaving msn messenger on for a long time takes a lot of memory for some odd reason, sometimes firefox does the same. Windows update will also hog your ram.
