How should I clean my SSD to re-install Win7?

Hey there,

Ever since I got my SSD 2 months ago (Vertex 2 120Gb) I got 3 different kind of graphic cards setup; GTX460, HD5970, and now HD6970 CF.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 since I think it's time to do it, as I have too much crap files on my Install and I want to start from 0.

I heard that I shouldn't just "format" my SSD from the Windows 7 DVD, in that case, what methods should I use so I can make a clean install of Windows 7 and just erase everything from my SSD?

Thanks,
Kevin.

You can try HDDErase.

I haven't used it yet, but was thinking of doing it to my Agility 2 next week.

Just follow the steps in this thread on the OCZ forums. It's the deepest, best way to clean an SSD and prep it for re-install.

Is the secure erase in Parted Magic not sufficient for this? What does Freespacecleaner do that isn't reset by the SE?
